@mr radio:

I used for years a lot of “free image hosting” sites, long before I decided to create one. So, I know what users need from an image host, I know what an image host needs to become one of the most respected free image hosting services. It’s hard, hard work, but I want to make a try.

Why my website is different ? hmmm :
- first of all, we like to interact somehow with our users. The first step.. it’s this blog. Next step, will be a forum if users demands that,
- we will give through this blog advices to our visitors how to work with images, how to edit them , how to use them in forums.
- we will work constantly with the website script. Yesterday we’ve implemented some great features: A registered user may create galleries, and when he upload images, he can choose to upload them directly to a specific gallery.
- we will try to see what our users demands from us, and actually listen to them , to listen to their ideas, and implement those ideas, if possible.

I appreciate the idea that your image hosting site will be more personalized and that you are putting forth the extra efforts to recognize what your users want and continually improving your site as much as possible. I will definitely check it out.

How do you handle images that are hosted but never accessed again? I often host images on imageshack but only link them for a 1-time viewing by a friend. Do you eventually delete images if they are not viewed for a long period of time?

Hello Admin,

Thank you for your endeavours and helping users with free service.

I have couple of questions, if you may care to answer:

1. Frontpage:
Why is the frontpage all messed up? Why that dark area, even when one has registered? Why again the options to register, login is displayed to the left, even though one has registered and successfully logged in. the whole thing looks callous

2. Validity:
As you may be aware, that many imagehost services close by the day abruptly, leaving the users at lurch as their data is gone forever. Can you assure the readers, that my-image-host will not close down abruptly? I have lost data myself so many time, because though the services promises alot earlier, but tracks back when they are hit with difficulties, and even fail to inform the users

These are only feedback, not do not consider them criticisms. Do reply,

Regards,

Jone

@Jone :
1) We are working to fix the problem.
2) I cannot assure anybody for anything. But this website is hosted with some other site son the same server, sites that are up and running for seveal years now, so I don’t thing that my-image-host will be closed down for the next few years.

@Acnepril :

We curently don’t delete the un-accesed images.

However , in the future, when we’ll host more and more files, we may be forced to delete images that are not accesed for 2-3 months for example.

You’ve got a nicely designed site. I think you ought to have
people categorize/tag the images, though. I got random porn when i click on the random image.

Well image hosting is really required to share pictures with family & friends as well as for business. Like i always wanted to upload pictures of Houses for my customers. It’s easy to find free image hosting service, but sometimes it doesn’t comfort you much. You image hosting service is good & reliable. I hope in future you come up with better script.
